I laid some stone in the pit…

I cleaned up all the dirt off the concrete in the pit… I can lay the flag now. I also put up some clay bricks between the back of the BBQ and the PVC pipes. I am a little worried about them.

I instaled the two access panels for the BBQ, fixed a hole I put in the last column, stucco’d the steps/walls, and chiseled a few pieces of stone. I do believe that the backyard will “appear” to be done by the end of next weekend…

Counter top is 95% done! I just got a couple things to do to it. I should install the BBQ on Monday and fire it up…

I felt decent so I figured I’d lay the flagstone for the counter top. I got most of it done. I just need to cut one or two filler pieces and then trim the pieces overhanging the bbq and burner cutouts. I put a level across when I was all done. The middle “finger” is low nearly 3/4 of an inch. I knew this would happen… hopefully it doesn’t look too bad when I slap the grill up!

I dislocated my shoulder for the 138th time. This was a first though… it never went back in. I had to take a trip to the hospital. They knocked my ass out and re-set it. All is well now but it will be a couple days before the pain goes down enough for me to do any more work. OH! I forgot…. my surgery was moved up to September 23rd so my deadline is now this coming weekend. I think I will make it provided my shoulder stays were it should…

A little more block work…

I did a little stucco’n tonight…

I am back from San Diego unfortunately. I layed a little block tonight. I can’t go much further until I get the electrical all sorted. I have to tie in the electrical to the sump with the outlet on the countertop. I need to head to Lowe’s tomorrow… if I can… Mom is moving in to her new house this week. I have a feeling I am going to be doing quite a bit of moving.

The water evaporated quickly…. I cleaned up the mud and I am now good to go. I formed up the countertop and poured it despite the god damn fly that kept buzzing past my ear and the hose which busted 3 MORE times.
